Basalt twisted yarns: types, characteristics and production technology

Kamenny Vek company offers to its customers a wide range of twisted yarn that is defined by the following parameters:

• Monofilament diameter (10 to 13 µm)
• Tex of one-end strand as a part of twisted yarn (68 to 150 tex)
• Number of one-end strands that form a twisted yarn (1 to 8)
• Twists per meter (28 to 100)
• Twist direction (S or Z)
• Sizing (KV-41, KV-42)

Basalt twisted yarn, 10 μm, 68 tex, 8 plies, twist direction – Z, 100 twists per meter.

 

Basalt twisted yarn is used for production of basalt fabrics and tapes and also for mat stitching.
